Lunch after the museum

Second grade’s field trip to the Sharlot Hall Museum provided a glimpse into the past of Arizona

Frontier life.  We got to see a replica one room school house, a log cabin a family of the frontier would have lived in and some old wagons, coaches and bicycles.  As we toured our guides provided information about life at this time while engaging us with some thoughtful questions.

Sharlot Hall was one of the first frontierswomen who lived in the Prescott area.  She loved Arizona and wanted to preserve both Frontier Life artifacts and Native American artifacts and began collecting these items to eventually be placed in a museum. Her Dream has been fulfilled with the museum which also houses Prescott historical artifacts, natural history, and Native History.  There is a lot to discover as you walk the campus and buildings of the Sharlot Hall Museum.
