Our class recently went on a field trip to the Prescott Heritage Zoo as part of our Amplify Unit 6: World of Homes—Animals and Habitats. In class, students have been learning important science vocabulary such as nocturnal and adaptations, and exploring how animals survive in different environments. Visiting the zoo gave students the opportunity to see these ideas in real life by observing animals and the habitats designed for them.
The students had a blast learning new facts from our tour guide and seeing the animals up close. We also attended a mammal presentation at the beginning of the trip, where students learned even more about how mammals live and adapt to their environments. It was a fun and meaningful experience that helped bring our classroom learning to life. 🐾🌿
