I am excited to share that our class is beginning a special writing project: becoming children’s book authors!
Over the next several days, students in grades 3–5 will plan, write, revise, illustrate, and publish their very own children’s books. This project is designed to build essential literacy skills while also encouraging creativity and confidence.
This project integrates key writing skills such as organization, descriptive language, and proper grammar, while also giving students the opportunity to express their unique ideas.
At the end of the project, students will share their completed books with younger students at our school. I encourage you to ask your child about their story ideas and writing process—your interest makes a big difference!
