At the beginning of the quarter, 2nd grade attended a field trip to the Highlands Center for Natural History. We were just beginning our knowledge domain on cycles in nature and how they are affected by the changing seasons throughout the year.
Students participated in various activities that prompted students to look for patterns in nature that animals were responsible for and how this affected their survival.
Second grade students were really excited to be outside, hike around and engage in hands-on activities.
The center along with their volunteers and employees were knowledgeable and friendly.
