4th Grade students in class

4th grade students were given the opportunity to peer edit their classmate’s personal memoirs. Each student was given a rubric of items to check and offer feedback on how their friend could improve their writing. Some of the items students checked for included: engaging beginning, development of details and events, vivid verbs and sensory details, varied sentence beginnings, and concluding with a reflection.  Students enjoyed offering ideas and suggestions to their friends.
