Attention high school students: Volleyball and soccer practices begin tomorrow at 4 PM. Student-Athletes must have a current physical, insurance and be registered on FinalForms. You may register on FinalForms through the school website. If you are already registered please login and sign the forms for this year. Please contact Coach Martin or Coach Hume if you have any questions. Middle School soccer will begin on Monday, August 16. Please contact Coach Broehm if you have any questions. Thanks and hope to see you out there in the court and field.

Due to many staff members across the District being affected by Covid, we are going to have to close the school next week, the week of August 2nd through 5th. Our plan right now is to have Elementary, Middle, and High School return the week of August 9th. Thank you to our families for being flexible as we work to get our students back into the classroom. Over the past several hours there has been a significant increase in Covid-19 positive case and exposure with staff that are essential for the daily operation of the school. Teachers and bus drivers have been mostly effected. It is impossible and unsafe to operate the school with such low numbers. We will not have school starting tomorrow, Monday, July 26th through Thursday, July 29th in order to get a handle on the situation. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience.

Ash Fork High School has had two staff test positive for Covid-19. The cases are linked, but we are highly recommending that all students or staff that don't feel well stay home and get tested. The school is continuing to get sanitized and masks are available and recommended.

Back to School- The Ash Fork High School Student Council met our students outside to welcome all students to our school. The STUCO did an awesome job welcoming the students and their parents. STUCO was also responsible for team building sessions on Monday afternoon!

Welcome Back Ash Fork Middle School!
Dear Middle School Families, welcome back to a new school year. This year, Ash Fork Middle School has some exciting changes. The first exciting change is that the middle school now has a dedicated social studies and science teacher. The new teacher is Mr. Sanderson, but he likes to go by Mr. DJ. The next exciting change is that the middle school will now end the school day at 2:45 instead of 4:00.
From 2:45-4:00, the middle school will be providing RTI (after school intervention). Parents can expect all of their middle schoolers to go home at 2:45 the first week of school (July 19-July 22). RTI will be starting the second week of school (July 26). Next week, the middle school will notify parents to inform them if their child needs to stay until 4:00 for RTI. There will be a 4:00 bus route to take intervention students home.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the school or one of the middle school teachers.

Ash Fork Middle School Volleyball 2021
This season has been rewarding for both the coaches and athletes. There were enough athletes to create three teams this year. The season started right after spring-break and was over 5 weeks later. During that time, the Lady Spartans were committed to the sport. None of the students were ever on grade check and attended all practices. The I-40 A-team tournament was held in Seligman this year. Our A-team went three games with Parks in the championship match. Ash Fork A-team took 2nd place. Jordyn and Andrea are the teams’ defensive players. Aspen and Jamie play the opposite hitting position for the Lady Spartans. The A-team is led by outside hitters Eva and Gracie, setter Isabella, and defensive player Aura.
The B-team I-40 tournament was held in Parks this year. Our B-team went three games with Williams in the Championship match. The Lady Spartans took 1st place in the tournament. The B-team was undefeated all season long. They are led by the setters Arlette and Crystal. Our C-team also competed in this tournament and places 3rd place against all odds.
We would like to wish the 8th graders success in high school: Aspen, Jamie, Heaven, Lesly, Jessie, Andrea, Reese, and Paula. We thank you for your dedication and look forward to coaching you in high school.
Love your coaches,
Erika Acosta & Lauren Hume
